GuestReady is a startup in the sharing economy, building on the success of short-term rental companies. It’s mission is to take the hassle out of short term rentals, any operations that are related to turning over guests and optimize listings to incur a maximum yield for the host are handled by GuestReady. The company is co-founded by seasoned entrepreneurs (some former Ex-Rocket Internet executives) in Europe and Asia.

About you

• You are in love with programming
• You are building side projects and always finding new development challenges

• You have written several Rails projects and can showcase some of the source codes
• You follow all the latest trends because you love to experiment

The job requirements
We expect you to take ownership from day one, you will be responsible for the full development cycle:

• Finding and designing the most optimal technical solution for business problems
• Implementing proposed solutions with emphasis on writing maintainable & testable code
• Doing code reviews of other developers code
• Write tests
• Deploy code to production
• Monitor your changes in production

Working environment

• You can work from anywhere you want. We are fully distributed team working from all around the world.
• There are no office hours, are you a night-owl? Feel free to work during night. Just please make sure you are present on the few regular catch-up calls we have.
• You will be part of dynamic team of early age startup, you will be able to shape the work to your liking

What do we do?

• We create an application written in Ruby on Rails v5 (will upgrade to 5.1 once stable is out) with Postgres database and running in Heroku
• We do write tests and have continuous integration in CircleCI with continuous deployment to Heroku setup
• We do code reviews in Github for all new code
• We do pair coding sessions
