The QA Lead is a critical function within the Development team. You will collaborate closely with the Production, Design and Programming teams. You’re a master of communication, a bug finding wizard, and test case management specialist - able to both help coordinate a legion of testers with delegated tasks as well as roll up your sleeves to take on the solo mission of assisting our cross-functional teams as an autonomous, expert QA specialist.

What will you do?
  • Integrated in the development team, you are responsible for leading the testing process of our game; playing, identifying and recording bugs in Jira, and tracking them through resolution.
  • Develop QA Resource Plans, including Alpha / Beta / Final build criteria signoff, Capacity Planning, Certification, and Risk Management.
  • Create documentation to track projects against, including Project GDD, QA GDF items, SDK testing tutorials, device coverage matrices, and new feature spec breakdowns.
  • Setup and own projects in the JIRA bug database, including participating in Sprint Planning, setting up dashboards, communicating issues to partners, and sending regular status reports to both project and executive team members.
  • You help the producers, leads and product owners to create and execute the quality assessment plans.
  • You will oversee QA automation processes along with the Engineering team.
  • You will help build and grow the QA department and its internal processes as needed throughout the game’s full production life-cycle.
  • When external teams are integrated in the workflow, you lead the relationship and workflows with them.
  • When new testers are included in our team, you mentor and lead their work.You will install QA best testing practices across both internal and external teams, increasing quality level of issue reporting through advanced reporting techniques including crash logs, server logs, video, and screen capture.
  • Manage daily bug triage with confidence in prioritising bugs and surfacing critical issues logged by QA to key stakeholders.
  • You will proactively identify risks, changes needed and execute solutions, with appropriate sense of urgency.
What will you need?
  • Passion for mobile games and experience working on games as a live service.
  • 2+ years of managerial experience in a functionality QA PM or Manager function that encompasses iOS and Android projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of QA experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, able to create workflows and dashboards as needed.
  • Previous experience of building test plans, capacity plans to support those test plans and execute against them.
  • Proven ability to own, build and iterate functions and processes.
  • Familiarity with test case creation and writing, interpreting feature spec docs into test cases.
  • High level of organisation and self-motivation.
  • Strong critical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.
  • Understanding of when to quickly escalate issues to the right stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally.
  • Team player, easy-going person that enjoys being part of a talented and dynamic development team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Mandatory work permit for Spain.
