Eurovision Services is seeking an innovative Product Manager to become part of the Product Management Team. The successful candidate will be part of the Product Management Department in Madrid, Spain.


ABOUT THE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TEAM

The ES Product Management Team works across departments to create products that enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency through automation and processes such as infrastructure scaling, deployment, and monitoring. By identifying customer pain points and opportunities for optimization, the team develops innovative solutions that address industry challenges and keep clients ahead with the latest advancements in broadcasting.

As a Product Manager, you’ll drive product vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals. This role requires strong commercial drive, with a focus on market impact, revenue generation, and business growth. You will champion automation and scalability while continuously seeking opportunities to maximize commercial value.

Note: This is not an Agile/Scrum Product Manager role. While familiarity with agile principles is beneficial, we are looking for a strategic product leader who operates beyond the Scrum framework, focusing on business outcomes, customer engagement, and cross-functional alignment rather than sprint planning and backlog grooming.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify & Prioritize Needs:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities for improvement and automation. Analyse data to identify customer pain points and high-impact areas for optimization.
  • Define Vision & Roadmap:
    Define a compelling product vision that aligns with our strategic goals. Develop a clear, actionable roadmap that balances customer value, technical feasibility, and ROI, with a focus on scalability and innovation.
  • Drive Product Development:
    Translate requirements into technical specifications, breaking down the roadmap into manageable projects. Act as a project sponsor for larger initiatives, guiding timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Champion Customer-Centricity:
    Promote a customer-first approach across the product lifecycle. Create robust sales enablement tools and maintain ongoing engagement with key stakeholders to ensure the product meets evolving customer needs.
  • Measure Product Success:
    Set and monitor KPIs to track product success, focusing on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Partner with Finance to create transparent costing models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment on product goals, timelines, and deliverables. Regularly communicate progress and gather feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Commercial Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with Commercial teams by providing timely and relevant product information, supporting sales efforts, and engaging directly with customers to gather insights, validate product-market fit, and drive adoption.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Implement a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting enhancements to improve productivity and product outcomes.
  • Engineering Collaboration:
    Work closely with engineering teams to ensure product requirements are clearly understood, technically feasible, and efficiently implemented, fostering a seamless handoff between product and technical development.


YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field).
  • Master's degree or specialization in Business Management, Project Management or Product Management is a plus.
  • Proven track record in product management, with expertise in product lifecycle management, roadmap development, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in driving commercial outcomes and knowledge in the broadcast industry is a plus.

  • Commercial Awareness: Strong business orientation with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, drive revenue growth, and deliver commercially successful products.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to advocate for customer value at every stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of technical concepts and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Financial Insight: Solid grasp of financial principles, including cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and ROI evaluation.
  • Market Research: Experience with conducting and analysing market research to inform product strategy and competitive positioning.
  • Product Marketing: Experience in product marketing, including go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging.
  • Innovation Management: Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends, with the ability to integrate innovative solutions into product development
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Proactivity & Orientation to Innovation
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong data analysis capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into strategic actions.
  • Multitasking & Prioritization: Proven ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Please note that this position could require travelling (up to 25%).

Eurovision Labs in Madrid is the new technology hub for the EBU's new subsidiary, Eurovision Services. The Labs will be responsible for delivering media & broadcast core solutions applying the most advanced software engineering techniques. The new offices in Madrid are specifically designed to boost creativity and facilitate innovation and learning in an amicable work environment.
