Product Manager: Agent UI (Location: Barcelona)

Product Manager: Agent UI is responsible for the products that enable travel agents to search, manage, and service travel content on behalf of their travelers in a manner that maximizes efficiency and optimizes customer service and interaction.

Travelport’s agency consumers look to us to provide tools that enable their agents to confidently present the best options available to their travelers. The Agent UI Product Manager helps build the vision, value proposition, design, prioritization and delivery of the products we build on the Travelport platform as well as to enable effective end to end management of these solutions by our agency partners and our Travelport support teams.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Lead product management efforts for agency facing point of sale in market today, ultimately leading the content and prioritization of the product backlog.
  • Drives specific KPI’s against product adoption, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction through Travelport’s agency point of sale products
  • Works with a team of Product Managers and Product Owners and is accountable for driving the quality of the entire product lifecycle for each product under management; acts as an escalation point and is responsible for managing all dependencies across the product families.
  • Responsible for reviewing and aligning a product strategy which will span different geographies and markets by collaborating with business leaders to accurately reflect business, commercial, and technology strategies within the product strategy.
  • Responsible for partnering with technology counterparts to ensure:
  • Sole responsibility for the product roadmap, including alignment with key stakeholders in commercial and technology, and ongoing management with the steering group based on data-driven prioritization.
  • Responsible for ensuring customer value propositions exist for the product portfolio, working with other product family managers planning and aligning strategies and delivering on shared roadmaps.
  • Responsible for mentoring the team to propose new, optimized and amended products that reflect market, customer or supplier trends by promoting collaboration across functional expertise (such as technology, sales and marketing) and driving insight from data to generate value and deliver a positive return on investment.
  • Contribute into the annual budgeting process and conduct quarterly budget reviews against actuals to identify cost over-runs and opportunities for savings; help allocate resources efficiently for ongoing product optimization across your family of products.
  • Responsible for tracking and managing the performance of your product(s) by overseeing the design, development, implementation and optimization against performance indicators (e.g. costs, benefits, growth, incidents etc.) to help leadership make informed decisions on future investment and long range capacity planning and drive product accountability.
  • Requirements are clearly defined, in order to provide accurate estimations and investment decisions
  • Execution of product roadmaps, delivering great, high-quality products that customers love to use

Capabilities:

  • 5+ years’ experience of directly managing products at a large global tech organization
  • Proven track record of delivering great customer experiences and product strategies within a marketplace or eCommerce environment
  • Experience in delivering global product across multiple regions, including an understanding of localization and translation requirements
  • Experience with using data and analytics to drive decisions
  • Experience in working with design agencies and/or internal CX and UX design teams
  • Knowledge of travel distribution and travel industry useful is a plus; desire to gain this knowledge to be able to develop product strategy to win in this industry
  • In depth knowledge of product management techniques, tools, and principals for planning, delivering and managing product life cycles
  • Commercial, technology and user experience understanding
  • Ability to gain customer insight
  • Stakeholder management skills with ability to build consensus
  • Solutions mind-set with significant experience with driving positive outcomes
  • Experience in driving end user testing through both quantitative tests and qualitative interviews and observations.
  • Experience working in organizations using Agile delivery methods highly desirable
  • Expertise in usage of relevant tools for product management requirements such as Jira or Aha!
  • Fluency in English
