We are currently looking for Product Managers who want to join our team. As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in delivering real, measurable business value through our products, to both our demanding client-base and Novicap. What will you do?

As said, you will join us as a Product Manager. Working with the Head of Product, Technology Team and the wider business, you will turn customer and business needs into product development or product improvements. You will contribute to the product strategy needed to meet our business goals 🚀, own the roadmap for one or more products, and manage the development of products, features and maintenance.

We expect you to be the subject matter expert for the products you own, and will drive the delivery of the next generation of products for Novicap.

More importantly, you will take decisions based on analysis, stakeholder feedback, and overall business goals. In doing so, you will ensure alignment between Product, Tech, and other teams with respect to product vision and project implementation.

You will collaborate with teams across the entire organization to contribute to our growth plans. In the immediate future, we will look to hire one Product Manager for each Credit and SaaS business areas.

The challenges in the respective areas are slightly different:

In Credit, we need to support the scaling of our business by:

  • Curating the improvement of the existing proposition to make it more relevant to our existing and target customers.

  • Developing new products to satisfy the unmet needs of potential clients, including direct lending and enhancing our collateral capabilities.

  • Working with Sales to showcase the benefits of our product through demonstrations, simulations and proposals.

  • Scaling operational processes to allow us to support an expanded client portfolio.

  • Working with Risk and Legal to minimize and/or manage credit risk when operating our products.

In SaaS, the product problem space is more greenfield:

  • Development of the Dynamic Discounting proposition to improve customer satisfaction and support sales growth.

  • Product discovery on solutions to working capital and supply chain finance challenges for Mid-Large Cap potential clients.

  • Working closely with the Commercial Team to identify and evaluate product opportunities

  • Discovery, test and launch of new product ideas.

In your first month you will land in the company and the team, getting to know the people and the way we work. Onboarding is important for us, so we will make sure you have everything you need to start rocking it!

In three months you will be more than used to the dynamics of the team where you will have experienced the day-to-day life of it and will have already made some cool contributions.

In six months you will be a key part of the team; an autonomous contributor who knows how to teamplay. Your feedback will have helped to change the quality of what we build.

The team is distributed across Barcelona, but we also have offices in Madrid. We encourage people to manage their own hours (flexibility is key) and, since we are growing this team, we expect you to spend some time in our Barcelona office with the team and the rest of Novicapers 🙂 (we can tell you you’ll have fun!).


Who will you be working with?

You will report directly to the Head of Product and will be working closely with the Tech team and the rest Novicapers across Madrid and Barcelona. A young and dynamic team that’s waiting for you with arms open!


What do we need from you?

We need someone with a product mindset, who thinks repeatable and scalable value over short-term wins and who is comfortable working in startup environments and refining ambiguous details. Sounds like you?

As a Product Manager at Novicap, you must also have listening and communication skills in English and in Spanish (multicultural team here!) that help you both with listening to what's not being quite said and influence others to help achieve business goals. Both things will help you in building relationships across all domains and levels in the organization.

We expect that you are a doer and take ownership of your role, are confident to understand and then challenge. If you like process thinking and problem solving and the strategic part of it all, this is your place!

What do you need to succeed?:

  • 4+ years of Product management experience in a B2B tech product

  • Have worked as a Product Manager with B2B, SaaS or FinTech products

  • Experience identifying, sourcing, curating, researching and validating business opportunities

  • Strong customer/stakeholder interview skills to identify customer needs and pains

  • Experience of product owner-type responsibility in product development environment, including the translation of complex business needs into work packages that can be scoped by engineering

  • Experience in driving cross-functional teams to deliver business goals through technology

  • Experience of modeling business and operational processes

  • Experience with product roadmapping and prioritization

  • Data-driven decision making


Bonus points if you:

 

  • Have product discovery or management experience in working capital or supply chain finance products

  • Have experience in the Spanish business lending market

  • Have defined the Go-to-market strategy
