The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Platform Architect to join us in Iberia, preferably in Madrid. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject matter expert in Red Hat’s AppDev, infrastructure and cloud technology with a solid focus on AppDev technologies. You'll answer questions about best practices around reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat’s technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and outstanding performance. As a Platform Architect, you will gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures, application landscapes, and business issues and you’ll make recommendations appropriate to their environments. What you will do:
Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, customer training and deployment of open source solutions
Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting best methods to obtain solutions
Learn new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
Adapt to changing customer requirements
Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
What you will bring:
Prior experience working in a consulting or services role; ability to deliver in one-on-one assignments as well as projects
Knowledge of and experience with AppDev Red Hat’s solutions like ArgoCD (RH Openshift GitOps), continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) and related technologies as Jenkins, Tekton or similar, RH Build of Keycloak, FUSE/Camel, AMQ (Kafka and/or Broker) and Datagri.
Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology and container technologies like Red Hat Openshift, and related infrastructure technologies on a delivery level
Knowledge of application architecture, including application servers, integration patterns, microservices
Ability to code in some programming languages (Go, Python, Java...)
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligent and Red Hat Openshift AI
Knowledge of Ansible and Automation
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions
Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders of technical and business audiences
Excellent problem-solving, planning and communication skills
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Excellent written and verbal language skills in Spanish and English
The following will be a plus:
Practical experience with agile methods
Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification
Knowledge of Virtualization
Interest in, passion for, and experience working with open source technologies and communities
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or the ability to get it within a few weeks of the start date is a plus
