In Spain, Thales Sistemas is specialized in Command and Control systems, Tactical Communications and Modeling and Simulation addressing solutions in the domain of Defense and Security. Thales is the Spanish leader in tactical Land CIS (Communication and Information Systems) covering all the product life cycle (design, development, production, ILS). Based in Leganés, Thales Sistemas employs a highly specialized workforce of more than 100 people, most of them engineers that participate in the following activities:
- Communications and Information Systems (CIS) to support Command function and Decision Making:
- Embedded electronics for military aircraft
- Tactical Communications
- Radio Navigation Aids for air traffic
As .NET Developer of the Software Engineering team in the Command and Control Projects, you will do:
- Capture user needs.
- Design SW components, including documentation.
- Code and test SW components.
- Update SW user manuals.
- Customer support.
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or IT related career like Telecommunications.
- You must have fluent English and Spanish level (B2+)
Experience level:
- 3 years of experience in Software Development.
Competences:
Technical/functional skills:
• High knowledge of C#, WPF, WCF (.NET Framework 4.x).
• Accessing data and programming in SQL Server.
• Experience working with Visual Studio 2017 or later.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (national and international projects).
Other (advantage):
• GIS (Geographical Information System) integration in applications.
• Software design documentation with UML.
• Experience in defense sector.
Behavioral skills:
- Communication skills & teamwork.
- Ability to work with clients.
- Capable of developing documents and preparing manuals for clients.
You must take into account that you should have (or you should be able to get) the Personal Security Clearance to be able to work on EU defense projects.
