Lead Software Engineer, Salesforce (Barcelona)

About the role

Gartner is looking for a Lead, Software Engineering to join the Sales Service and Corporate Engineering team. The Candidate will be responsible for leading the technical implementation and sharing best practices, supporting other technical leads and raising awareness of changes and developments within the salesforce domain that could impact the work of other development teams.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of Salesforce developers, review and design the implementation. Barcelona

  • Be a technical lead and raise awareness of changes in development using best practices.

  • Manage an Agile (Scrum) Development process in a continuous integration and deployment methodology.

  • Partner with Product Leaders and as well other technology partners to plan support and prioritize the critical development items

What you will need

Strong IT leader with 6-8 years of experience in web and software development. The candidate should have excellent knowledge and experience designing and developing large scale, high traffic applications.

Must have

  • Overall, 6-8 years of experience in web and software development.

  • Proven experience in mentoring and coaching development team

  • Extensive experience with the Salesforce.com development life cycle, application design patterns, integration patterns and deployment planning

  • Experience in SFDC Development implementing the APEX Classes, APEX Triggers, VisualForce pages, Force.com IDE, Eclipse with SOQL, SOSL and Plug-ins.

  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure preferably AWS, SQS, Lambda, Docker, Microservice architecture, API Gateway, RDS(Postgres/MySQL), Oracle

  • Excellent understanding of Agile Principles and experience managing development via multiple development teams in an Agile environment.

  • Understanding of Test automation and TDD principles.

  • Experience in writing apex batch, schedule classes using Batchable and Schedulable interfaces for processing large data sets in scheduled intervals.

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in BE/BTech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

  • Able to communicate effectively with internal clients and technology partners.

  • Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

  • Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.
