We’re looking for a
QA Engineer to join TipsterChat! We are based in Barcelona but
this position is Remote during the Covid-19 outbreak. Once it gets back to normal you will also have the option to work from our office in Barcelona next to the sea.
You will be the first member of our Quality Assurance team. Therefore you will have the opportunity to create the team from scratch and your opinion will be valuable to decide which testing tools we will use. As a member of the QA team, you will own end to end testing of key TipsterChat features.
You'll also strategically work to offer the best coverage while also maintaining close relationships with our Software Engineers, Product Managers and Customer Support.
What you’ll do:
- Drive the technical and organizational testing roadmap for the team
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams
- Implement and enhance QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases
- Guide the design and development of testing strategy strategies based on project requirements
- Gather, analyze and report team and quality metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement
- Creatively solve technical QA challenges with the team
- Influence key Go/No Go decisions on product readiness
- Drive effective and timely execution of test cases through tools, automation and creativity
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of web applications and mobile applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to isolate defects effectively, as well as provide specific conditions for reproducibility
- Someone who can work with stakeholders to develop appropriate testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience testing applications for a variety of smartphones and tablets
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years of industry experience
- Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
- Loves to learn, and is passionate about helping others
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android devices
- Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of chat technologies
