Two Junior Developers are needed to join a fast growing tech start
up, based in London. Expect significant equity options, extremely
flexible working policies and the opportunity to shape the future of
this innovative business.
Creating cameras with on-board video analytics capabilities, this
ground-breaking firm gather real-time information to quantify the
movement of pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists, from making traffic
lights more intelligent to assisting rail operators in predicting queues
in their rail stations. Currently rolling out thousands of cameras
across the UK, they are now seeking two Junior Developers to join their
world class team.
Joining as a Junior Developer in a small team you will be expected
to show initiative while receiving significant support from current team
members. Depending on your prior experience & development goals,
you may be focused more on ML or on full-stack (web) development, but
you would be expected to interact with the full spectrum of technologies
in either role. The exact balance of responsibilities between the two
roles will depend on the candidates we receive. However, whether you are
carrying out research to develop their core computer vision and machine
learning technologies in the ML role; or developing components of their
back-end, API & device management in the full stack role, it will
be your strong coding background and proven aptitude for picking up new
technologies and frameworks in a commercial environment which will
enable you to thrive in this position.
To qualify… You should be a developer with:
• Some programming experience e.g. 1+ year of commercial development
experience, Computer Science degree or similar, significant open source
contributions
• Proven ability to rapidly pick up new technologies, frameworks and skills;
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment;
• The ambition and enthusiasm to drive the company forward.
A Masters in Machine Learning or prior experience in the sector
would be a significant bonus - but is not strictly required - for a ML
focus. Experience in Back-end web systems with cloud hosting providers
(Google Cloud / AWS) would be advantageous but not essential for a
Full-Stack focus. In both roles, the following experience would be
helpful: Bash & Linux systems management/devops; Agile development
methodologies (particularly Scrum); and Continuous Integration, Testing
and Deployment.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative and inspiring
organisation who offers the chance to work with a world class team.
