About Peripat
Peripat automates accounts payable for hospitality businesses.
Restaurants can receive hundreds of invoices each month from their
suppliers. A lot of restaurants still process these manually which is
time consuming and prone to errors (either in house or outsourced), or
they use some software to help read some of the invoice details. The
existing software doesn’t perform all the required tasks, and they have
poor accuracy, so they don’t end up saving much time as restaurants
still need to check every field and complete remaining tasks. I have
created some software to completely automate this for hospitality
businesses so the only step they need to perform is to approve the
invoices. This is by far the quickest, cheapest and most accurate way of
entering the invoices.
I used to own a restaurant so I have first hand experience of the
problems facing hospitality businesses which is how I came up with the
idea. Before that, I was a business analyst for banks, so I have been
able to build a proof of concept and get a few paying customers using
the system. I am now at a point where I need to rewrite it as something
that is scalable and user friendly, but I need to bring someone in to
ensure it is designed and built properly.
It’s a great time to join as there is a clear path for how the
company will sign customers and generate revenue. There are already a
number of customers who love using the proof of concept and are happy to
pay for it, and I’ve met with much larger restaurant groups who have
said they would like to trial it once it is completed, which is why I
want to get it built ASAP. Yet at the same time, it is still early
enough that you can make a big impact on what is built, how it is built
and what the company becomes.
The Role
This will be the first hire for the company, I am flexible with the
seniority of the role, from Engineer to a Senior/Lead Engineer, but I’m
not looking for a junior at this stage. Whichever you are, it will be a
hands on role to work alongside me to turn the proof of concept into a
version which can be taken to market, but there will probably be more
hires in that time.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has at least 3 years
experience as a full stack developer working in a variety of roles and
are passionate about their personal hobby projects. I am basically
looking to work with someone who I get along with, who wants to get
stuck in and build something that customers love.
The role will primarily be based in a coworking office in London
(exactly which one TBC) but there will be a lot of flexibility. The
salary for the role based on your experience, but will be in region of
£40k-£70k.
Applicants must be London based. Please no recruiters or digital agencies, I already have plenty of contacts for both.
