We are actively seeking a Full-Stack Developer skilled in Java and React to work on WePlan, our strategic supply chain planning product. WePlan is crucial for orchestrating all our company's future operations, essentially synchronizing our logistics capabilities with our demand forecast, which is calculated using advanced machine learning algorithms. In simple terms, this role involves performing complex calculations on the back end, while presenting them through highly intuitive and straightforward user interfaces. Adherence to our team’s K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid) philosophy is critical, as the clear graphical representation of complex calculations is vital for the success of our product; thus, you will have the chance to showcase your artistry in this domain.
With WePlan being crafted from the ground up, featuring an event-driven architecture, we are passionate about constantly refreshing data to facilitate the fastest, highly accurate decision-making process. This introduces a major challenge, as it necessitates understanding and connecting with the entire range of the company’s processes and products, whether they’re legacy systems or target solutions.
Therefore, we're looking for an exceptionally proactive individual, who understands that it is important to manage the frustration in a complex map system with high levels of dependencies with other teams and priorities, balance and correctly accept technical debt when it is required and finally accept the change as part of the norm. Our development team works in close proximity to our users, providing relentless support, we take ourselves very seriously testing our processes before any release to minimize production issues. This means you, as a developer, should have a knack for understanding the ‘whys’, be innately curious, and feel comfortable asking questions. We prioritize collaborative solution-finding and uphold the belief that success is a team effort, not just an individual achievement.
This role would suit someone who is creative and passionate about building great products with high volumetry, as well as working with the latest technologies and methodology for building software.
Overall you’ll write code, design architecture, build all aspects of our platform, build software against API’s, manage infrastructure, perform code reviews and help guide other developers. This role offers quite a bit of free rein and the opportunity to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team.
🎯 TASKS
- Develop the Supply Chain Planning tool at Veepee using the best standards and technologies
- Estimate development tasks, pointing out risks, required provisions and limitations in the process
- Perform regular code reviews and share best practices
- Design and implement the features using TDD, clean coding for cloud ready applications

👉 MUST HAVE skills
- Deep knowledge of Java and React (More than 2 years) and overall 5 years of experience

- Knowledge of Kafka (or at least familiar with any other queuing system)
