About Us:
We are a newly founded startup sponsored by a global leader in transportation networks.
We provide a new and innovative solution to understand transportation
networks by using powerful machine learning tools and stunning data
visualisations.
Our product is in use in several major cities across the globe, and
we are expanding extremely quickly. We want to be the world leader in
smart cities solutions. By reconstituting people's itineraries within a
transportation network, we allow cities to finally understand how people
move. Using complex algorithms, we can even explore the impact of a
modification to a transportation network. We want to help cities adapt
their networks so than people can move more easily be more connected.
The project has been going on for months, but we have been existing
as a startup for only a couple of days, expect a change of brand name
and logo really soon.
The Role:
As the Lead Front End Developer and first employee, you will be a foundation stone of the company.
You will be working with a modern set of tools (React, Redux, Redux
Sagas, ES6+, D3, CrossFilter, Leaflet, Jest, Enzyme, Yarn) to solve
challenging problems of a data-intensive performance oriented web
application. You will be part of a team passionate about writing great
code, with an emphasis on quality using modern software development
techniques.
The role will challenge your ability to create stunning data visualisations, and produce industry-level code.
You will gradually take over the existing website codebase. As you
become independent on the project, you will gain the freedom and
responsibility to make the technology choices that allow the project to
grow and respond to change.
When the front-end team is called to grow, you will become its technical leader.
English speaking application are welcome. Depending on your experience, on site in Paris or remote.
You:
- Passionate about writing high quality code
- Experience developing beautiful consumer-facing web applications
- Knowledge of React ecosystem and modern Javascript (ES6)
- Optional: D3
