About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a data scientist and developer of
large scale data analysis and solutions. This permanent position will
be working with the Marketing and Development teams within Beatchain. As
Beatchain grows you will have the opportunity to build a team to help
support your work and further enhance our data science capabilities.
We will be looking for the successful candidate to have a proven
track record in manipulating big data sets, normalising and
concatenating disparate data sources, designing models and algorithms
and working in R or Python (preferred) with our development teams.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Interrogating data sources from our signed artists and their fans
Building models to help development of our Fan Builder and Promotion as a Service platforms
Data modelling and data architecture design and implementation
Analysis of requirements and production of specifications and reports.
Documentation of solution (e.g. data models, configurations, and setup etc.).
Engaging with the artists to identify new insights to bring value to the business
Ability to engage and communicate effectively within a high performance team.
Qualifications:
A degree (preferably MSc or PhD) in Mathematics, Econometrics, Experimental Economics or similar
Hands on experience with business intelligence tools, data modelling,
data staging, and data extraction and exploration processes.
At least 1+ year of BI and Analytics professional experience across a range of technologies including some or all:
Python (required)
R
Stata / SPSS
Microsoft PowerBI
Looker
Tableau
Azure Analytics WorkBench
AWS
Experience and demonstrated competencies with model and algorithm building
Experience with logical and physical data warehouse database design and performance optimisation is an advantage
Business intelligence and analytics certification is an advantage
