About You

In this fast-changing, high-paced market it is of the utmost importance to make sure we get a good understanding of our data and translate this to new insights and opportunities. This is why we are looking for an experienced, ambitious and open minded Data Scientist.

So you..

- Perform analyses on large sets of (financial) data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions within Blockport;
- Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to your colleagues;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams who are passionate about making Blockport a success.

Got to Haves

- Bachelor or Master in computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar;
- You have at least 4+years of experience in a similar data scientist role;
- You have the technical competence to perform advanced analyses;
- Data science tools experience (such as Jupyter, Pandas, R, SQL, Hadoop, Spark or similar);
- Experience performing analysis with large datasets;
- Coding skills (such as Python, Java, JavaScript);
- You are capable of solving very loosely defined problems;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written in English and/or Dutch);

Nice to Haves

- Experience within fintech companies;
- Experience within a start-up environment.
