A Data Science Engineer is needed to join a fast growing tech

Creating cameras with on-board machine learning / video analytics
capabilities, this ground-breaking firm gather real-time information to
quantify the movement of pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists, from making
traffic lights more intelligent to assisting rail operators in
predicting queues in their rail stations. Currently rolling out
thousands of cameras across the UK, they are now seeking a Data Science /
Machine Learning Engineer to join their world class team.
You will be taking the large-scale transport datasets gathered
through the camera network, and using this to predict future movements
in the transport system. You will be able to draw on the experience of
the broader team, including a number of experts in machine learning for
computer vision, but would be expected to lead and drive this work.
Whether you are researching the latest predictive techniques from
academia; developing a dynamic, real-time simulation; or exploring and
improving failure cases, it will be your strong data science experience
and appetite for the latest technologies which will enable you to thrive
in this role.
To qualify… You should be a developer or researcher with:
• At least 3 years of experience with modern data science techniques and approaches through a PhD or previous commercial role;
• Proven ability to pick up new technologies, frameworks and skills rapidly;
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment;
• The ambition and enthusiasm to drive the company forward.
Experience in some of the following areas would be advantageous but
not essential: Cloud deployments (AWS, GCP) of modern ML frameworks;
Proven track record of publications in top-tier Machine Learning / Data
Science conferences; Real-time forecasting techniques; Agile development
methodologies (particularly Scrum); Continuous iteration and
test-driven development.
