Our client wants to add highly motivated Data Engineers to its team

Big Data Engineers are required to design, build and support the
Hadoop infrastructure for a large multi-tenant, petabyte scale Big Data
platform.
Big Data Engineers will be responsible for building and implementing
end-to-end Hadoop cluster solutions in a secure enterprise environment,
configuring security and authorisation using Kerberos and Active
Directory. Big Data Engineers will also be responsible for
administration and troubleshooting of cluster issues co-ordinating with
various teams across the programme. The opportunity is opened to Data
Engineers willing to work on one of the largest Hadoop ecosystems in
Europe.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in dimensional data modeling, designing and
implementing scalable ETL design and mappings, database query
construction and data warehousing skills
· Excellent knowledge of SQL and Linux OS
· Server management and administration including basic scripting
· Proficient in Stata, R, Python or some combination
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently
· Bachelor’s degree in CS or related technical field
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree in Computer Science (PhD welcomed)
· Familiar with Redshift, Hadoop, Java, Hadoop, Talend, Hive, Spark, Hdfs
· Experience with various BI Platforms (OBIEE, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
