taking professional photography, making cool HD video tours, designing
floor plans and get tons of details of each accommodation so potential
tenants can securely book a whole apartment or rent an individual room
in a flat or a student residence all from the comfort of their couch!

You will be joining the Metrics Team and you will work closely with
the Software and DevOps Engineers to design and create a strong,
functional and centralised Data Warehouse, you will fetch data from
heterogeneous sources and consolidate it in a reliable and automated
reporting system to drive business decisions. You will design and
implement the processes, methods and tools to process and analyse all
company data sets. You will also do hands on coding in multiple
languages and tools. You will also join a very fast-paced Start Up
environment, therefore you will need to dive comfortable in high
ambiguity situations. It is a huge challenge that requires both
technical and analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- ETL processes development.
- Data warehouse modeling.
- Own daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Implement an automated reporting system.
Main requirements
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar.
- 1-2 years of Data Engineer professional experience.
- Experience in different programming languages: Scala, Java, Python.
- Experience in different databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Experience with real time architectures.
- Understanding and experience in BI: ETL, Datawarehousing and Reporting.
- High attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time with focus on meeting deadlines.
- Have a hands-on and positive attitude.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Familiar with Akka: Akka Cluster, Akka Streams, etc.
- Familiar with Apache Kafka.
- Familiar with Apache Spark, and Hadoop ecosystem.
- Familiar with Redis.
- Familiar with Docker.
- Machine Learning techniques.
- Previous startup environment experience.
