The Tech department at Kantox is a team of experienced professionals that love complex challenges. More often than not, we’re pioneers in what we do. We’re looking for a cloud engineer experienced in cloud, and containers. You will be joining the existing team and contributing to the scaling of our growing infrastructure.

About the team

We’re currently a team of 5. The plan is to continue growing steadily in line with the company's evolving needs and as the platform team becomes more strategic across the organization.

Tech Environment

Our infrastructure is fully on AWS, using services like ECS, Lambda, KMS, RDS, ElastiCache, and Secrets Manager.
We emphasize Infrastructure as Code and automation wherever possible.

• Deployments: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and some native AWS tools
• Compute: AWS Lambdas, ECS, and Kubernetes
• Databases: AWS RDS and ElastiCache

Your mission within Kantox

• Work with our engineering teams to design and implement the best cloud based solutions.
• Use your problem solving skills to find, solve and prevent issues.
• Lead and develop best practices for engineering.
• CI/CD for you does not have any secrets
• Stay current with industry trends.
• Build the new Kantox infrastructure.
• Proactively improve and modify our present and future infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software engineers to implement new solutions.

The team is currently working on several high-impact initiatives, including:

• Migrating legacy infrastructure from CloudFormation to Terraform
• Building reusable deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Collaborating with the Data team to create a scalable data lake on Kubernetes
• Driving the rollout of a unified observability stack across teams
• Evolving into a true internal platform team, enabling other engineering teams to deliver faster and more reliably

Who you are

• 4+ years of professional experience in AWS and its services.
• Linux system administration.
• Good understanding of technologies behind Internet services at every level
• Good knowledge about Docker and orchestration (ECS, EKS).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Github Actions, ArgoCD, AWS Codepipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild).
• Observability platform is your best friend (logs, metrics and traces).
• Ensure reliability, scalability and resilience from a Devops point of view.
• Security by default is your credo.
• Good understanding of Networking (DNS, IPv4, Subnetting, Routing…).
• Scripting skills (Go, Python, bash).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

Very nice to have

• Experience maintaining ECS & Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Experience with Grafana.
• AWS certifications.
• Terraform certification.
