The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Cloud Automation and DevOps Architect with solid background in Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) adoption to join us in Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject matter expert in Red Hat's infrastructure and cloud technology. You'll answer questions about best practices around reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups, as well as lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat's technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and performance. You will gain an understanding of the infrastructure and business needs of our customers and make appropriate recommendations for their environments. As a Cloud Automation and DevOps Architect, you'll have a great opportunity to build your knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat's solutions. You'll work as part of the Red Hat Consulting team that offers more than just technical expertise. You'll serve as a strategic adviser who takes a big picture view of customer organizations, analyzes their challenges, and helps to overcome them with comprehensive, cost-effective solutions. As part of our team, you'll help customers quickly and strategically achieve value while building enterprise-wide capabilities through our open technologies and consulting approach.

• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Learn new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

• Passion for open source software
• Several years of experience working in a consulting role; ability to deliver in one-on-one assignments
• Solid background in Ansible Automation for cloud infrastructure and application lifecycle management through Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience in Kubernetes based platforms; experience in OpenShift is a plus
• Experience managing successful, modern software development projects assisting DevOps teams ensuring the right approach for platform automation and application lifecycle management capabilities
• Ability to perform customer-facing activities in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes
• Comfortable working with highly distributed teams, including interaction with open source communities
• Experience with design, development, testing, and deployment of large, distributed platforms for application development and application lifecycle management architectures
• Great written and verbal communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English
• Ability to study and learn quickly and put new topics into practice
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 50% of the time
• Demonstrated experience of design and implementation in DevSecOps environments and the technologies and products that enable this in an enterprise environment is a plus
• Applied knowledge of working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams is a plus
