ABOUT THE ROLE
Join Porsche Digital Barcelona as a Backend Engineer and become a foundational member of our DWaaS team.
You will be part of the first product team in Barcelona which is building the Porsche Dealer Websites Service. With this CMS-based product we enable dealers worldwide to customize their websites to their needs while building a central solution that is deeply integrated into the digital ecosystem of Porsche.
The agile product team has full product ownership and drives one of the most important strategic assets in the company’s digital marketing landscape. You will also be a member of the global digital engineering community of Porsche, exchanging ideas and expanding your skillset with colleagues worldwide.
You will have the opportunity to grow with the Porsche Digital Family, establish the local company culture, and set new standards for our collaboration also within our global network at Porsche.
Although we have an office established in the center of Barcelona, we have a flexible mobile working policy
WHAT YOUR TASKS ARE
- Work hands-on implementing our product through modern BE technology
- Implement and maintain our backend architecture for durability and quality
- Develop new features alongside customer feedback and data
- Development and implementation of web-interfaces, backend services and APIs to existing services and integration of other ecosystem assets and capabilities
- Work following the principles of DevOps with regards to writing maintainable code, reusability of infrastructure and components, and continuously deploying our software into test and productive environments
- Persistent work to create and sustain premium ‘Porsche-like’ quality and security of our product through modern quality tools and processes
- You will be an active part of an agile team, take over product responsibility, work closely with other teams in the digital ecosystem at Porsche, integrate crucial assets and capabilities as well as scale the product
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
- You have a degree in software engineering, information technology or alike and around one year of experience in software engineering
- Knowledge of modern backend development tools and techniques (e.g., micro-services, API driven) is a bonus
- Preferably you have worked with a CMS system
- You have knowledge of ASP.NET MVC development
- You love to write clean code following design patterns and SOLID principles
- You have understanding of how to integrate different systems via APIs (such as REST and GraphQL)
- You are a team player being part of an agile team, actively taking care of team culture and the product value towards our customers
- Our company language is English, so you should speak it fluently
- If you are a contributor to the open-source community, please don’t hesitate to share your Git profile beforehand
